So often is the case that performing arts are neatly packaged up and presented to us, but in doing so, it also hides the moment of inspiration and the alchemic process of changing movement into dance and light into art. It is, for this reason, the design intent of this new experimental art centre is to metaphorically open the door and share the unseen and allow alternative perspectives and experiences. The architectonic language of the building will create spaces that are more reminiscent of an industrial place of making. A container where people can move through and bridge the gap between the creative process and immersive spectatorial experience.
